The project was to upgrade their Network Servers, install quality benching, add approximately 100 Cat5e Network outlets (both copper and fibre) and to install an additional 70 Power Sockets. The project was completed in record time taking just 6 weeks from conception to install.
In this photo you can see the benching of choice was manufactured to order using quality beech laminated, MDF (not chipboard). This enables a better quality of finish. Here you can see the benches have been neatly radiused, bullnozed and varnished to finish. Data and Power were positioned beneath the benching with cable management holes positioned at strategic intervals for easy access to computers and prevent looping cables.
This picture shows the same location BEFORE the upgrade.
The photo below shows a typical room retrofitted with CAT5e Data cabling. All rooms were fitted with wall mounted cabinets to hide unsightly cables.
1. Four inch segregated trunking to run power and
Cat5 data cables as well as integrated flush fitting power and data sockets.
2. Installation of network cabinet including patch panel, switch and cabling.
Routing cables, particularly in older schools & colleges which were not designed with Computers in mind, can be particularly troublesome. In the example above you can see how our skilled fitters have hand crafted a neat and precise 22.5 degree dogleg bend to negotiate this corner.
The construction above demonstrates how a dividing wall can be used to segregate lessons in open plan classrooms. Here the wall provides an ideal barrier between PC users and pupils taking a different lesson. The dividing wall is finished in the same material as the benches.
